Xiumin, a singer and actor from the group EXO, stars in the drama ‘Heosikdang’, which premieres today (24th).
MBN Plus ‘Heosikdang’ is a fantasy comedy romance drama where Heo Gyun, a literary figure from the Joseon Dynasty, accidentally runs a restaurant after time-slipping 400 years into the modern era. It is based on a popular web novel of the same name.
Along with Xiumin, actors Choo So-jung, Lee Se-eon, and Lee Soo-min will showcase delightful chemistry as the main cast. With an exciting time-slip between the Joseon era and modern times, anticipation builds for Heo Gyun's adaptation to contemporary life.
Xiumin plays ‘Heo Gyun’, a self-proclaimed genius with extraordinary writing skills and aesthetic sense that transcends time. Heo Gyun, the first taste columnist of the Joseon era, time-slips to the present while escaping from exile after hearing that his friends have been falsely accused of treason. Here, he meets ‘Bong Eun-sil’, the daughter of a restaurant, played by Choo So-jung, and they become entangled as they run ‘Heosikdang’ together.
Lee Se-eon and Lee Soo-min will perform dual roles, transitioning between the Joseon era and modern times. Lee Se-eon plays ‘Lee I-cheom’, a character who will stop at nothing to get what he wants, and ‘Lee Hyuk’, the youngest master of Korean cuisine. Lee Soo-min portrays ‘Mae-chang’, a beauty with an artistic temperament, and ‘Jung Mi-sol’, the top CF star in the country, showcasing her unique charm.
Additionally, trusted and talented actors Kim Hee-jung (as Eun-sil's mother), Oh Ji-ho (as an assassin/Detective Kang), Woo Hyun (as Old Man Noh), and Choi Won-myung (as King Gwanghae) will all contribute their strength to the cast.
Meanwhile, ‘Heosikdang’ consists of a total of 10 episodes, airing every Monday and Tuesday at 9 PM.
