Chinese chef Lee Yeon-bok is taking on the challenge of serving a perfect Chinese course meal on a deserted island.
In the MBC entertainment program 'Pook Shwimyeon Da Haengiya' (hereafter 'Pook Da Haeng'), which airs on the 24th, the opening of a Chinese restaurant on a deserted island featuring executive Kim Dae-ho, Chinese cuisine master Lee Yeon-bok, and actors Myung Se-bin and Yang Se-hyung will be depicted. In the studio, 'CEO An' Ahn Jung-hwan, Boom, chef Raymond Kim, and singer Jang Yae-eun will appear to watch and discuss the events.
On this day, executive Kim Dae-ho will challenge the opening of the Chinese restaurant on the deserted island alongside master chef Lee Yeon-bok. Until now, the deserted island restaurant has been operating by sourcing various seasonal winter seafood such as large yellowtail, catfish, and cod. Kim Dae-ho confidently states, "I found a place where winter seasonal ingredients specialized for Chinese cuisine are available," raising expectations for Lee Yeon-bok and the workers.
Joining them are actress Myung Se-bin, a long-time regular and known protégé of Lee Yeon-bok, and Yang Se-hyung, a versatile worker capable of everything from driving a boat to cooking. However, despite the gathering of elite workers, the island's conditions were reported to be the worst ever. A severe cold wave has hit, freezing everything from the sea to cooking oil.
Nevertheless, Lee Yeon-bok does not back down and challenges the first-ever 'customized course meal' on 'Pook Da Haeng', where guests can choose their desired menu from Jajangmyeon, Jjamppong, and Fried Rice. As expectations rise for Lee Yeon-bok's ambitious challenge, which seems impossible on a deserted island, curiosity grows about whether a perfect Chinese course meal that satisfies guests can be created even in extreme conditions.
Meanwhile, the Chinese restaurant on the deserted island presented by master chef Lee Yeon-bok can be seen on MBC's 'Pook Shwimyeon Da Haengiya', airing on Monday, February 24th at 9 PM.
