Song Baek-kyung reminisced about his past cleaning the practice room.
On the afternoon of the 22nd, KBS2's 'Salim Nam Season 2' (hereafter 'Salim Nam') featured Song Baek-kyung, a former member of One Time.
During the broadcast, Song Baek-kyung shared, "I really wanted to be a singer, but the atmosphere was such that no one recognized me. My school teachers and parents were very opposed, so I often ran away from home. It was really tough, so I came back home, stopped going to school, delivered newspapers, worked part-time at a gas station and a pizza place, and in between, I practiced composing music alone."
He continued, "After meeting Hyun-seok, I went to the practice room to practice... I happened to meet Yang Hyun-suk, but I guess he wasn't very impressed with me. I kept failing auditions. So, I grabbed Yang Hyun-suk's pants and tried to get his attention by cleaning the practice room mirror and focusing on composing dance songs, then switched to the hip-hop genre that he liked. Then he said, 'I don't plan to make you a singer, but come out and try,' and that's how I debuted as a singer," recalling his past.
