Seo Ha-yan married Lim Chang-jung, who is 18 years her senior and a divorcee, in 2017, and they have five sons together. She gained attention by appearing on the SBS entertainment program 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny,' showcasing her role as Lim Chang-jung's wife and the head of his agency.
Seo Ha-yan has been actively working as an influencer and YouTuber, but she went into hiding after Lim Chang-jung was embroiled in stock manipulation allegations in April 2023.
Lim Chang-jung was suspected of being involved with the forces behind the stock price crash caused by SG Securities, but he was cleared of charges in May of last year.
