Winner's Song Min-ho is embroiled in controversy over inadequate work, while the Mapo Residents' Convenience Facility has denied the related allegations.
On the afternoon of the 17th, a representative from the Mapo Residents' Convenience Facility stated, "We have acted according to regulations," and added, "We are currently in meetings regarding the matter and will likely prepare a statement."
His agency, YG Entertainment, also released an official statement saying, "The reason for his sick leave is an extension of treatment he was receiving before his service, and all other leaves were taken in accordance with regulations."
On that day, Dispatch reported that Song Min-ho had not properly reported to work at the Mapo Convenience Facility where he is serving as a social service worker, and that during about ten visits to the facility for on-site verification, they had not seen him even once.
After moving to the Mapo Convenience Facility in March, he reportedly appeared occasionally, signed in, then smoked a cigarette and disappeared. When they visited the site, he allegedly made excuses like "I'm on annual leave today," "I'm on sick leave today," and "I'm hospitalized today."
A responsible person, referred to as Mr. A, commented on Song Min-ho's duties, saying, "He is responsible for organizing receipts when they come in. He also cleans in the GX room. We keep Song Min-ho in a place where he is not visible..." He further explained, "In fact, we try to keep him out of sight (in the next room) because people come to see him. And that friend has some physical and mental difficulties," emphasizing that there was no inadequate work.
