Actor Ryu Soo-young has challenged his first-ever pigeon chicken mukbang.

In the episode aired on the 28th, KBS2’s ‘New Menu Launch Pyeon Restaurant’ depicted Ryu Soo-young's third overseas business trip to Macau.

On this day, Ryu Soo-young visited the Macau Food Festival. He explained, "It’s a festival held every November. It’s a historic festival that has been maintained for 24 years. With over 150 booths, it means they sell more than 1,000 kinds of food."

While exploring various shops, Ryu Soo-young discovered a dish of whole fried quail and ordered it. However, the dish turned out to be fried pigeon, not quail. Ryu Soo-young laughed, saying, "I thought it was quail when I ordered it."

Lee Yeon-bok commented, "Pigeon is a famous dish in Macau. But this pigeon is not the one we see playing in parks. There is a wild pigeon." He added, "In Chinese culture, having the head attached is a symbol of a precious dish."

Holding the pigeon chicken, Ryu Soo-young said, "I don’t think I can eat this. It looks too much like a pigeon," which drew laughter. Boom teased, "Holding it like that, it looks like a pet pigeon."

Afterward, Ryu Soo-young settled down and tasted Chinese-style braised pork bones and half a fried chicken. Especially after eating the fried chicken, he exclaimed, "It’s really delicious. I really want to learn this recipe."

Additionally, Ryu Soo-young took on the long-awaited challenge of tasting pigeon chicken. Carefully tearing off the meat, he put it in his mouth and nodded with a satisfied expression. He remarked, "Why is it so fresh? There’s no smell at all. It’s delicious."

Entering into full mukbang mode, Ryu Soo-young said, "The pigeon breast meat is not dry. It’s chewy. Maybe it’s because they flap their wings a lot. It’s similar to chewy quail meat," he laughed, offering the pigeon chicken to the director partner.
