Kim Seung-soo, Ryu Soo-young, and Jung Hye-in received the Best Award at the ‘2024 SBS Entertainment Awards’.
On the 29th at 8:20 PM, the ‘2024 SBS Entertainment Awards’ was broadcast live from SBS Prism Tower in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. The ‘2024 SBS Entertainment Awards’ was originally scheduled to be held on December 31 of last year but was postponed due to a mourning atmosphere following the Jeju Air incident.
Immediately after receiving the award, Kim Seung-soo took the stage and said, “I was worried about participating in ‘My Ugly Duckling’ at this age, but the PD and writer asked me to trust them just once, so I gathered my courage and participated. I am grateful to the production team, my brothers, sisters, and mothers who worked on ‘My Ugly Duckling’. I will work hard to receive great blessings in the new year and share them widely.”
Jung Hye-in continued, “While doing ‘Goal Dae Ryeo’, I often heard the question, ‘Why do you work so hard?’ I was happy and enjoyed the four years of ‘Goal Dae Ryeo’, but there were also many contrasting times. It was ‘Goal Dae Ryeo’ that made those times healthy and strong. That’s why I was able to give my all and run together. I am grateful to the production team who gave me the greatest gift in my life, and I see this as an encouragement to work even harder in the future,” as she wiped away her tears.
Ryu Soo-young, who received the trophy in Peru while filming ‘Jungle Cooking’, showed an emotional reaction. He said, “I won such a big award while cooking on ‘Jungle Cooking’. ‘Jungle Cooking’ is a program that goes to people who are not familiar with Korean cuisine, learns their cooking, and introduces our food. I am proud and happy to receive this award through such a program.”
Meanwhile, the ‘2024 SBS Entertainment Awards’ was hosted by three MCs: Jeon Hyun-moo, Jang Do-yeon, and Lee Hyun-yi. This year’s Grand Prize nominees included Yoo Jae-suk, Jeon Hyun-moo, Shin Dong-yup, Lee Sang-min, Seo Jang-hoon, Lee Hyun-yi, and Kim Jong-kook.
