Actor Go Seung-hwan has won the Rookie Award.
On the 28th at 8:20 PM, the ‘MBC Entertainment Awards’ took place at the new MBC headquarters in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. The event was hosted by Jeon Hyun-moo, Yoon Eun-hye, and Lee Jang-woo.
Go Seung-hwan expressed his joy, saying, “It feels like the first award I’ve ever received since I was born, and I’m so happy to receive such a big award. You never know what life holds; last year I was cheering while watching on TV, and now I’m grateful to receive the Rookie Award.” He continued, “There are many people I’m thankful for. If it weren’t for Joo Seung-ah, I wouldn’t be here. I think of myself as a dad in the broadcasting world. From now on, I’ll call you dad. I’m grateful to the production team for seeing my small potential,” which drew laughter.
Go Seung-hwan also mentioned his pet dog, saying, “I think you’re watching from home on TV, baby. Thank you for always supporting me whether I’m happy or sad, for looking at me lovingly while I eat, and for coming out to greet me when I come home late. I’ve been busy with work lately, so we haven’t been able to go on dates, but let’s have a great date by the Han River today. I love you, Flower.” This brought more laughter.
The ‘MBC Entertainment Awards’ is an event that summarizes the entertainment, cultural, and radio programs aired throughout the year. Last year, MBC aired many popular programs, including ‘All-Seeing Companion’, ‘What Do You Do When You Play?’, ‘I Live Alone’, ‘Radio Star’, ‘Home Alone’, and ‘It’s a Relief to Rest’.
