KBS Announces Recruitment for 34th Class of Comedians: "Discovering Future Entertainment Stars"

KBS has begun recruitment for the 34th class of comedians.

On the 14th, the KBS 'Gag Concert' team announced, "We are accepting applications for the KBS 34th class comedian exam documents on the official 'Gag Concert' website until January 24."

Anyone with a passion for comedy can apply for the KBS 34th class comedian exam, regardless of age, gender, or height. In particular, they are looking for applicants who possess talents and skills in one or more areas such as singing, dancing, or impersonation.

KBS broadcasts the only public comedy program in South Korea, 'Gag Concert,' every Sunday. 'Gag Concert' first aired in 1999 and has been a symbol of Korean comedy, producing legendary segments and comedians over the past 26 years. Those selected for the 34th class will have the opportunity to perform on the 'Gag Concert' stage.

The 33rd class of comedians was selected with the revival of 'Gag Concert' in 2023. Na Hyun-young from 'Knowing Songs,' Seo Ah-reum, Lee Soo-kyung, and Choi Gi-moon from 'Such a Kind Love,' Chae Hyo-ryeong, Kim Si-woo, and Nam Hyun-seung from 'Isn't It Right,' Oh Jeong-yul and Jang Hyun-wook from 'Simgo Police Station,' Lim Seon-yang and Lim Seul-ki from 'Observation Class,' Oh Min-woo from 'Just in Case,' and Hwang Eun-bi from 'Studio Salamander' are currently active as the youngest members of 'Gag Concert.'

Document submissions are open until the 24th, and further details regarding the schedule after document submission can be found on the official KBS 'Gag Concert' website.

A KBS representative stated, "Many KBS comedians are active in various entertainment programs, not just 'Gag Concert,' and we are looking forward to discovering future stars with the passion and talent to create new laughter."
