Ji Jin-hee transforms from a national actor to the CEO of a content production company advocating for ‘Like, Comment, Subscribe’.
The new KBS2 Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Kikikikikik’ (written by Jeong Soo-hyun, Nam Eun-kyung, Jeong Hae-young, directed by Ko Seung-jun), which will premiere on February 5, features the ten-million actor Ji Jin-hee (played by Ji Jin-hee) and former star PD Jo Young-sik (played by Lee Kyu-hyung) as they establish a content production company and strive towards gaining 3 million subscribers in this office comedy drama.
In the drama, Ji Jin-hee's character, Ji Jin-hee, was once a beloved national actor but lost everything due to an unexpected incident, becoming destitute. To regain his former glory, he teams up with Jo Young-sik, who left him with severe PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), to establish the content production company ‘Kikikikikik Company’ and embark on a new challenge.
Despite his hope to become the most handsome CEO in South Korea, he faces the harsh reality of fluctuating between heaven and hell with each subscriber gained. Viewers are curious whether Ji Jin-hee, shouting ‘Like, Comment, Subscribe’ in a heavy voice while reciting lines from the drama, will receive the blessings of the algorithm and reclaim his past glory.

Ji Jin-hee, who will portray this extraordinary character, stated, “This is a genre I haven’t done before, and the script was very interesting. I liked the narrative of Ji Jin-hee's character in the drama, and the setting of a content planning company also attracted me,” revealing his reasons for joining the project.
He continued, “The character Ji Jin-hee lives in the glory of the past, but I think he is a character I want to learn from in terms of his spirit of challenge towards new things. I also felt affection for the way he navigates through unprecedented events as the CEO of ‘Kikikikikik Company’,” expressing his first impression and affection for the character Ji Jin-hee.
Having showcased a dignified charisma in various works, expectations are high for Ji Jin-hee's cheerful and comedic transformation in ‘Kikikikikik’. He added, “I focused on the story that the script and character possess and prioritized how to act that out. In other words, rather than worrying about a transformation in acting, I thought about how to portray the character ‘Ji Jin-hee’,” elaborating on his acting points.
‘Kikikikikik’ will premiere on February 5 at 9:50 PM.
