Actress Song Hye-kyo caught attention with her unique mindset.
On the 8th, Song Hye-kyo appeared on the tvN variety show 'You Quiz on the Block' and shared her recent updates. After 23 years, she made her talk show debut, discussing her thoughts on negative comments and how she spends her daily life.
Having lived as a top star for 28 years since her debut, Song Hye-kyo reflected on her life in the entertainment industry, from enjoying everything she could as a woman and an actress in her 20s to the times she constantly blamed herself and the secrets to overcoming those challenges. She shared moments when her heart was torn apart due to various false rumors and her struggles as an actress who felt bored watching her own performances until she encountered 'The Glory.'
Song Hye-kyo expressed her frustration, saying, "After working for a long time, there are many rumors. When I do interviews or meet people I don't know well, they sometimes ask me about those rumors. I tell them, 'I heard that too. Go ask the person who made that rumor.'
She continued, "I've received so much hate that I'm okay with it now. It's fine when it happens to me. But when it happens to my family, it tears my heart apart."
In particular, Song Hye-kyo said, "I'm happy that my name doesn't come up in the news. I've only just realized how precious it is to spend an ordinary day."
Additionally, Song Hye-kyo confessed that, at the suggestion of writer Noh Hee-kyung, she has been practicing every morning and evening for the past five years. In the morning, she writes down how she wants to spend her day, and in the evening, she records ten things she was grateful for that day. She shared, "On the first night of my practice, I had to write down ten things to be grateful for, but I couldn't think of any. I always thought of grand things, but once I started being grateful for the small things, there were so many."
Song Hye-kyo also mentioned 'The Glory,' which became a turning point in her acting career, saying, "As I entered my 40s, I approached it with the mindset that I couldn't rely on my looks anymore. It was a challenging role, but I was so excited that I wanted to go to the next shoot quickly."
