Lee Cho-hee and Heo Nam-jun meet as unique space scientists in ‘Ask the Stars’.
tvN's new Saturday-Sunday drama ‘Ask the Stars’ (written by Seo Suk-hyang, directed by Park Shin-woo, planned by Studio Dragon, produced by KeyEast and MYM Entertainment) depicts the life of boss Eve (played by Gong Hyo-jin) working in a zero-gravity space station and an unexpected guest, Dinosaur (played by Lee Min-ho), who has a secret mission. It is anticipated to be the first space office drama in Korea, set to be a highly anticipated work for tvN in the first half of 2025.
In the drama, Lee Cho-hee plays the role of Mina Lee, a space scientist in charge of plants at the space station (ILS). Mina Lee is a passionate scientist with a caring but timid personality, always worried about whether the lettuce or tomatoes she cultivates might get moldy or wilt, spending day and night by the plants' side.
On the other hand, the character Lee Seung-jun, played by Heo Nam-jun, is a space scientist researching mice at the space station. He is a "dragon from a humble background," having risen to the space station through his own efforts. Tired of the noisy Earth, he finds comfort in the dangers of space.
Although Mina Lee (played by Lee Cho-hee) and Lee Seung-jun (played by Heo Nam-jun) have different reasons for coming to space and different research fields, they will add a delightful energy as they bicker in the barren environment of the space station. Therefore, the meeting with these two astronauts, who will bring a pleasant vitality to the zero-gravity space station, is highly anticipated. It raises curiosity about what possibilities they will bring back to Earth from space.
Moreover, attention is focused on the transformation of Lee Cho-hee and Heo Nam-jun, who will showcase an unprecedented charm through their characters, Mina Lee and Lee Seung-jun. The synergy between Lee Cho-hee, who attempts an image change with a lovely short haircut, and the rising star Heo Nam-jun is expected to shine in the first broadcast of ‘Ask the Stars’.
