Actress Jang Nara won the Grand Prize at the '2024 SBS Drama Awards'.
On the evening of the 21st at 8:35 PM, the '2024 SBS Drama Awards' took place at SBS Prism Tower in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, hosted by Shin Dong-yup, Kim Hye-yoon, and Kim Ji-yeon.
The Grand Prize trophy was awarded to Jang Nara. She played the role of Cha Eun-kyung, a star divorce lawyer who experiences divorce herself, in the drama 'Good Partner', which ended in September.
Overwhelmed with emotion, Jang Nara took the stage and said, "I can't believe it. I feel like I'm experiencing something amazing in my life at SBS. Thank you. Meeting the 'Good Partner' team has allowed me to experience this. I am so grateful to the director, the writer, the fellow actors, and Nam Ji-hyun, who was the pillar of the drama and my pillar as well. And I love my husband, who supports me no matter what I look like," as she shed tears.
The Director's Award was given to Park Shin-hye.
Park Shin-hye said, "I want to thank the director for creating the conditions that allowed me to portray Binna. He supported me when I was struggling or tired. Although he says he is happy to be my man, I think I was able to shine thanks to Kim Jae-young," she said.
She continued, "I received the Best New Actress Award at the SBS Drama Awards 21 years ago, and I believe that being able to receive a big award here today is thanks to the fans who love the drama. I also want to take this opportunity to thank Choi Tae-joon. Thank you for always supporting me, even when my self-esteem is lower than I thought," expressing her affection for her husband.
The Best Acting Award in the Season Drama category went to Kim Nam-gil and Lee Ha-nee, while the Best Acting Award in the Mini-Series Genre/Action category went to Ahn Bo-hyun and Jeon Mi-do. The Best Acting Award in the Mini-Series Human/Fantasy category was awarded to Kim Jae-young and Nam Ji-hyun. Additionally, the Lifetime Achievement Award went to Kim Young-ok, and the Drama of the Year and Best Teamwork awards went to 'Connection' and 'Good Partner', respectively.
Meanwhile, the '2024 SBS Drama Awards' is a ceremony that summarizes all SBS dramas aired this year, including 'Chaebol X Detective', 'Seven's Resurrection', 'Connection', 'Good Partner', 'Judge from Hell', and 'Hot Blooded Priest 2'.
