MC Bae has become the recipient of the Staff Award at the '2024 KBS Entertainment Awards'.
The '2024 KBS Entertainment Awards' took place on the afternoon of the 21st at the KBS New Hall in Yeouido, Seoul, hosted by actor Lee Joon, singer Lee Young-ji, and Lee Chan-won.
MC Bae stated, "I am the pre-MC for 'Open Music Concert' and 'Immortal Songs'. When you receive an award, the writers and others usually give you a front-row seat. I was completely unprepared and was about to leave, but I was really surprised. I am very grateful. Senior Shin Dong-yeop, who has hosted 'Immortal Songs' for a long time, thoroughly trained me to express my gratitude to the production team. Today, I will talk about something else."
He continued, "Twenty years ago, I dreamed of becoming an announcer and comedian, but I failed at everything. I am an MC from a regular office worker background. I am grateful to the production teams of 'Open Music Concert' and 'Immortal Songs' for encouraging me personally and for my hosting skills. I dedicate this honor to the cleaning staff and janitors who work behind the scenes. I also ask for attention to the unseen members of the production team and orchestra."
MC Bae added, "I am proud of the moment when I first failed to become a comedian and announcer. I sincerely thank my family," and he expressed gratitude to Kim Jun-hyun, who calls him an MC, and to Lee Chan-won, who always greets him brightly on their way home, as well as to Lee Chan-won's fans.
This year's award nominees include Yoo Jae-suk from 'Syncro U', Jeon Hyun-moo from 'The Boss's Ears Are Donkey Ears', Ryu Soo-young from 'New Menu Launch Restaurant', Lee Chan-won from 'Immortal Songs' and 'New Menu Launch Restaurant', and Kim Jong-min from '2 Days & 1 Night' Season 4.
