'I Want to Know That' tracks the details of President Yoon Suk-yeol's 'Emergency Martial Law Declaration on December 3rd.'

On the afternoon of the 3rd, shortly after 10 PM, President Yoon Suk-yeol suddenly declared a state of emergency martial law. Helicopters appeared before the eyes of citizens who were enjoying a peaceful daily life, military armored vehicles appeared on the roads, and armed soldiers stormed the National Assembly and the Central Election Management Commission. The emergency martial law, the first in 45 years, plunged the entire nation into shock and fear.

A resolution demanding the lifting of the emergency martial law was passed in the National Assembly within 155 minutes, and about six hours after the declaration, President Yoon announced the lifting of the martial law. Although the soldiers withdrew, even ten days later, South Korea is still experiencing a time of chaos. What was the reason for the declaration of emergency martial law that the president can proclaim in the event of war, insurrection, or a similar national emergency?

President Yoon Suk-yeol, now a suspect in a rebellion charge, argues that it was an unavoidable measure taken to prevent a paralysis of state affairs and a disruption of the constitution, claiming it was merely a high-level political judgment and not rebellion.

'I Want to Know That' delves into when the emergency martial law was planned, how it was secretly prepared, who executed it, and what their actual objectives were.

'I Want to Know That' will be broadcast at 11:10 PM on that day.
