Group i-dle's Yuqi has taken center stage in global media and music charts.
Yuqi's first single 'Motivation', released on the 16th, is receiving intense attention from major overseas media and music charts.
The American economic magazine Forbes recently stated, "Yuqi clearly shows a level of confidence like never before," and explained, "The title track 'M.O.' is inspired by 90s boom bap hip-hop, capturing Yuqi's confidence, autonomy, and fearless nature."
The British music magazine CLASH commented, "The question 'What is your motivation?' led Yuqi on a journey of numerous thoughts and ideas," adding, "Through this work, Yuqi aimed to showcase her strength and confidence, revealing a different side of herself. She demonstrated her capabilities as a singer-songwriter with confident and honest lyrics."
Additionally, the Italian magazine Panorama reported, "Yuqi has always pursued authenticity, and this solo activity is a culmination of her steady and remarkable trajectory." They further highlighted Yuqi's value as a creator, stating, "Yuqi is not just a simple vocalist but a subject who carves out her own career. She transcends boundaries and constantly redefines narratives, showcasing her surprising journey as a global artist."
The global interest in Yuqi's first single 'Motivation' is being proven by numbers. 'Motivation' topped the digital album bestseller daily charts on China's largest music platforms QQ Music and Kugou Music right after its release, and achieved gold certification on QQ Music shortly after. The title track 'M.O.' reached the top of the real-time chart on the domestic music site Bugs, and its music video ranked first in YouTube's 'Most Viewed Video in 24 Hours'.
Meanwhile, Yuqi's 'Motivation' release commemorative pop-up 'YUQI 1st Single [Motivation] POP-UP' will sequentially open in seven Asian cities starting from the 19th.
