Galaxy Corporation, known as the agency of singer G-Dragon and an AI entertainment tech company, achieved a successful turnaround with a revenue of 126 billion won, an operating profit of approximately 12 billion won, and a net profit of 13 billion won in the first half of 2025.
This performance significantly exceeded the growth rate of 207% in revenue recorded in 2024, achieving more than three times the annual revenue of 2024 (approximately 40 billion won) in just six months. Notably, unlike the operating and net losses recorded until 2024, the company successfully turned to a large profit in the first half of this year, proving its solid corporate value.
The convergence strategy of media, IP, commerce, and tech served as the main driving force behind Galaxy Corporation's turnaround. This successful strategy is analyzed as the result of proactive investments aimed at establishing a foundation for 'IP and tech convergence business.' Due to large-scale investments, losses were unavoidable until last year, but in the first half of 2025, the established foundation entered a full-fledged commercialization stage, realizing strong profitability improvements.
In the media business sector, Galaxy Corporation demonstrated its global production capabilities with over 400 multi-entertainment programs, including '1 Night 2 Days,' 'You Quiz on the Block,' 'Mr. Trot 3,' and 'Physical: 100 Season 2.' At the same time, by combining with the super IP G-Dragon, it maximized market impact through music album activities and world tour expansions, generating explosive revenue.
In particular, G-Dragon's world tour proved his global influence and drove revenue. Successfully completing the first tour, which circled Asia including Japan, the Philippines, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, he solidified his position as a K-pop legend, and even media exhibition tickets sold out in a short time, reflecting the explosive response from fans worldwide and raising expectations for continued revenue growth in the future.
Additionally, in the commerce sector, the successful global sale of 10 million cans of PEACEMINUSONE Highball and various 'non-participatory IP businesses' such as media tech exhibitions linked to the world tour contributed to business model diversification. Innovative technology-based content production, such as the space AI music transmission project and collaboration with Microsoft on AI music videos, has become a crucial pillar in strengthening Galaxy Corporation's image as a leading AI entertainment tech company.
Galaxy Corporation plans to significantly expand its revenue scale in the second half of the year, starting from the profitable turnaround in the first half of 2025. In particular, the expansion and encore of G-Dragon's world tour, along with the effects of acquiring new super IPs like Song Kang-ho and Kim Jong-kook, are expected to lead to explosive revenue growth in 2025.
With an IPO planned for next year, Galaxy Corporation's strategy combines entertainment tech and AI. The innovation of existing entertainment business models and the expansion of global business areas are expected to become a decisive moment in setting new standards for the AI entertainment tech industry.
