Trot singer Park Sang-cheol has been elected as the president of the Korean Singer Association.
According to the election management committee of the Korean Singer Association on the 21st, Park Sang-cheol was elected in the 8th presidential election held the previous day.
President-elect Park will begin his term in October, immediately after the current president's term ends at the end of September. The term is four years.
He presented a vision of a 'member-centered association' and pledged to revive the Korean Singer Association's Singer Day, activate the association's YouTube channel, promote the legal status of entertainment-related organizations, and strengthen the association's performance capabilities.
New directors appointed include Geum Jandi, Kang Hye-yeon, Park Sang-min, and Shin Yu.
Park Sang-cheol debuted with his first album 'Boomerang' in 2000 and gained popularity with songs like 'Ja-ok-a', 'Unconditionally', and 'Hwang Jin-yi'.
