'Big Hit Music Rookie' Cortis has unveiled concept photos that embody the team's aspirations.
Cortis (Martin, James, Juhun, Seonghyeon, Gunho) posted the first concept photo of their debut album 'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES' on the team's official SNS at midnight on the 11th.
The released images were taken in downtown Los Angeles at a tram station. Like a tram crossing through the city, it reflects Cortis's ambition to break into the center of the global music scene with their creations. The members in the photos pose freely, sitting on the ground or climbing onto chairs without hesitation. Their different postures and gazes showcase their individual personalities and characteristics.
Born in 2008, Martin is the leader of the team. He possesses a solid foundation built over six years of training, along with innate talent. Martin has participated in the production of numerous songs even before his debut, earning the title of 'teen producer.' He is credited in Tomorrow X Together's 'Deja Vu,' 'Miracle (Miracles happen every moment we are together),' 'Beautiful Strangers,' ENHYPEN's 'Outside,' LE SSERAFIM's 'Pierrot,' and ILY:1's 'Magnetic.'
James, born in 2005, is the eldest member of the team. He is the 'idea bank' that injects energy into music, choreography, and video projects. James has also showcased exceptional creative abilities since his trainee days. He participated in the choreography for Tomorrow X Together's 'Deja Vu' and ILY:1's 'Magnetic,' 'Cherish (My Love),' and 'Tick-Tack,' and contributed to the song production of 'Deja Vu,' 'Miracle (Miracles happen every moment we are together),' and 'Magnetic' alongside Martin.
Juhun, born in 2008, serves as the focal point in the team, uniting the members' opinions to co-create major content. Having worked as a model in his childhood, he possesses a high understanding of photography and video, as well as stage presence.
Seonghyeon, the youngest born in 2009, has only about five years of training experience. He shows outstanding talent in various areas such as dance and singing, with over 100 tracks produced during his trainee period. Gunho, who drew attention for his visuals right after the reveal, is also born in 2009 and is part of the youngest line in the team. His youthful voice is charming, and he stands out in performance and song production.
Martin, James, Juhun, Seonghyeon, and Gunho are the 'Young Creator Crew' that co-create music, choreography, and videos. They are ready to present creations made with different thoughts and new perspectives, just like the meaning of their group name, which signifies 'thinking freely outside the standards and rules set by the world.'
Meanwhile, Cortis will release a conceptual performance film featuring the choreography of the intro track 'GO!' from their debut album at midnight on the 12th. They will then release the title track 'What You Want' on the 18th at 6 PM, showcasing the true value of the 'Young Creator Crew.' Their debut album 'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES' will be officially released on September 8 at 6 PM, and pre-orders will be available starting from 11 AM on August 11.
