With an average of over 115,000 attendees per day, they shared the stage with pop stars like Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, Luke Combs, and A$AP Rocky. The nine members, who made their first appearance on a global festival stage, showcased their experience honed through numerous world tours, shining as the 'top global girl group.'
Throughout Grant Park, the lights of the 'Candy Bong' (official light stick) awaited TWICE, and when they appeared on stage, a fervent cheer erupted. Their first English single, 'The Feels,' which marked their entry into the Billboard Hot 100, signaled the start of the festival, and the members skillfully engaged the audience. The group performance, along with unit dance breaks featuring Nayeon and Momo, added variety to the show. Additionally, the setlist showcased a wide musical spectrum with summer vibes in 'Alcohol-Free,' the Latin-infused 'ICON,' the synthwave genre 'I CAN’T STOP ME,' and the Miami bass-inspired pop song 'MOONLIGHT SUNRISE,' delivering a performance fitting for the festival. TWICE captivated the audience as they freely roamed the expansive stage, greeting fans and striking heart poses.
During the stage for 'TAKEDOWN' from the Netflix series 'K-Pop Demon Hunters,' in which TWICE participated in the original soundtrack, thunderous cheers erupted. Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung left an impression as if they had stepped out of the animation as brave characters Lumi, Joy, and Mira, enhancing the viewing experience. The performance of 'Strategy,' which is gaining popularity on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, also raised the excitement.
After the stage for 'ONE SPARK,' a drone show event unfolded in the Chicago night sky, featuring TWICE's official logo, characters inspired by the members, and the group name 'TWICE,' completing the summer night festival atmosphere.
Culminating with their latest song 'THIS IS FOR,' TWICE exclaimed, "Amazing time tonight!" and added, "We have performed a lot over the past 10 years, but 'Lollapalooza Chicago' is our first festival stage.
