Seungkwan, a member of the group SEVENTEEN, participated in a public service advertisement to promote his hometown, Jeju.

On the 17th, Seungkwan appeared in the 'Promise with Jeju' campaign advertisement posted on the YouTube channel of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province. The video will be broadcast nationwide starting from the 18th, as well as on outdoor electronic billboards in Jeju and Seoul. Audio advertisements will also be available on the radio.

This campaign advertisement was produced to spread the correct values of traveling to Jeju and promote sustainable travel culture. Seungkwan's unique bright and positive energy added vitality to the landscapes of Jeju. Known for his deep love for his hometown, Seungkwan took time out of his busy schedule to participate in the filming.

Seungkwan expressed, "I am grateful and fulfilled to be able to contribute to promoting the true beauty and value of Jeju to the world," and added, "I will always support Jeju in its leap to become a city where the environment and tourism coexist harmoniously."

Seungkwan has been continuing his charitable activities for his hometown in various ways. Last month, he donated 20 million won to the Cultural Heritage Administration and the National Trust for Cultural Heritage to help protect Jeju's precious heritage. As an ambassador for Jeju, appointed in November last year, he contributed to the protection of the endangered Indo-Pacific humpback dolphin through a donation to the Jeju Provincial Office.

Additionally, during his attendance at the '13th UNESCO Youth Forum' held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France in 2023, he drew attention by informing that Jeju is the first region in the world to be designated by UNESCO in three areas of natural environment simultaneously. SEVENTEEN, to which he belongs, was the first K-pop artist to be assigned a special session at this event, and last year, he was appointed as UNESCO's first youth goodwill ambassador, leading social contribution activities.
