Major Japanese sports newspapers have extensively covered BTS Jin.
Japan's top five sports newspapers, including Sports Nippon, Daily Sports, Nikkan Sports, Sports Hochi, and Sankei Sports, dedicated their front pages on the 12th and 13th to report on Jin's fan concert tour. This is the first time that five newspapers have simultaneously spotlighted a Korean solo artist on their front pages.
On the 12th and 13th, fans flocked to convenience stores near the Kyocera Dome Osaka, where the fan concert tour '#RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR in JAPAN' was held, in search of special editions. Some stores experienced a sell-out of newspapers due to the overwhelming response.
Local media described the event as a festival created together by the artist and fans, showcasing the deep bond between Jin and the ARMY (the fandom name). They also focused on the production process of his second mini-album 'Echo,' released in May, highlighting his identity as a solo artist.
Jin successfully wrapped up the fan concert tour in Japan amidst intense interest. The performances took place in Chiba and Osaka over a total of four shows, all of which were sold out. Jin attracted approximately 130,000 spectators in Japan alone. During the Osaka concert, he expressed his gratitude, saying, "I exist because of ARMY. Thank you for coming together and enjoying."
Jin has been continuing the fan concert tour '#RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR' since the Goyang concert in June. He will kick off the North American leg of the tour at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, on the 17th and 18th. He will then meet fans in Dallas, Tampa, Newark, London, and Amsterdam.
