The group Blackpink has addressed the complaints regarding the viewing restrictions at their world tour concert venue over the weekend.
On the 7th, their agency YG Entertainment released an official statement saying, "We sincerely apologize for the difficulties experienced in viewing the stage from the N3 seats during the Blackpink concert held over the weekend."
They continued, "We had installed an LED screen to improve the viewing environment as there was a console set up in front of that area, but unfortunately, it caused inconvenience contrary to our intentions."
They added, "As a result, we will be taking follow-up measures for those who reported discomfort in that area. Detailed information will be provided through the ticketing agency."
The agency stated, "We will strive to consider the viewing environment more carefully in the future and provide a better concert experience."
Blackpink held their 'Blackpink World Tour Deadline' performance at the Goyang Sports Complex in Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, on the 5th and 6th. During this process, some audience members watched the performance from seats with restricted views, unable to see the stage. The problematic seats were located in the 'N3' area, which is at the far end of the venue opposite the artist's stage.
In front of that area, a large screen was installed, and the audience in the 'N3' area could only view the artist's performance on the screen rather than in person. Consequently, these audience members expressed their dissatisfaction with the viewing experience after the performance and mentioned ticket refunds.
Following the Goyang performance, Blackpink will embark on a world tour covering 31 shows in 16 cities, including Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, New York, Paris, Barcelona, London, Kaohsiung, Singapore, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.
