'Winter Boy' is back. BTS member V has taken over the global charts.
According to his agency Big Hit Music on the 7th, the carol 'White Christmas (with V of BTS)' featuring BTS's V and American singer Bing Crosby, which was released the previous day, topped the iTunes 'Top Songs' chart in 43 countries/regions including France, Japan, Finland, and Brazil.
This song is a reinterpretation of Crosby's classic 'White Christmas,' which was released in 1942 and continues to be loved worldwide, sung in V's unique style.
The digital single 'Winter Ahead,' released on the 29th of last month, featuring V and Park Hyo-shin, also ranked high on major global music charts. The song debuted at number 86 on the UK Official Singles Chart released on the 6th and reached 1st and 2nd place in 'Single Downloads' and 'Single Sales,' respectively.
The success continued on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform. 'Winter Ahead' debuted at number 29 on the 'Weekly Top Songs Global' chart (November 29 - December 5) released on the 6th, marking the highest rank among new entries this week.
V's solo album 'Layover,' released in September last year, includes the track 'Love Me Again,' which has remained on this chart for 69 weeks at number 112.
Every winter, V has released songs such as 'Snow Flower (feat. Peakboy),' 'Christmas Tree,' and 'Wherever You Are.'
