The indie band Gyomunap Byeongari is proving both its musicality and popularity by receiving consecutive collaboration proposals from major corporate brands and broadcast content.

In January of this year, Gyomunap Byeongari was commissioned to produce a CF song for Nongshim's new potato chips and received an official collaboration proposal from Nongshim's advertising agency. The team had previously participated in a logo song contest for Nongshim but did not win, and shortly after being eliminated from the contest, they received a direct proposal from the brand, leading to the successful collaboration.

Gyomunap Byeongari stated, "Although this wasn't our first outsourcing project, it was the first time we received a direct proposal from a major corporation," adding, "It was a time when we were quite disappointed after being eliminated from the contest, so it was even more meaningful that the brand reached out to us first."

The team focused on effectively capturing a sense of excitement and a lively atmosphere within the short 15 seconds while maintaining the strong impression of the existing phrase, "Hello Cleopatra, the best potato chips in the world."

They continued, "We thought that Nongshim had recognized our unique sensibility through the contest video and had certain expectations, so we concentrated on meeting those expectations while naturally reflecting the team's bright charm," adding, "As a result, it was a well-completed project that harmonized well with the brand image."

Subsequently, Gyomunap Byeongari also participated in the opening song production for the YouTube channel "Inhan Shooting Star," a follow-up web program to KBS's youth soccer content "Fly Shoot Dori." The song was ultimately selected after a demo was produced through rapper kay.d at the request of the channel's operator, a soccer coach, around July 2024.

They said, "We received a request from the strong Shooting Star team to produce the opening song and participated in the project, and the demo we created was approved and is being used as the official channel opening," adding, "Through logo songs and broadcast music projects, we were able to expand the team's musical spectrum."

They also emphasized that they are currently expanding the team's unique color into various content through recent activities. "Previously, we focused on music releases, but starting this year, we are working on various forms of content such as reels, shorts, and logo songs," they explained, "The satisfaction we feel when expressing the required atmosphere in our own sensibility as 'Gyomunap Byeongari' is very high."

They shared their thoughts on managing their social media channels, stating, "We are experiencing the process of growing by directly communicating with the public through our YouTube and Instagram channels," adding, "Due to the nature of the platform, feedback from fans is immediate, and the support and reactions we receive during that process become the driving force for our creativity."

Gyomunap Byeongari is expanding its activity range through collaborations with various brands and video platforms, using individuality and content as weapons, and solidifying its position as an indie artist with both musicality and popularity.
