The group Kiss of Life has shared their thoughts on releasing a new album without the participation of creative director Lee Hae-in.
On the afternoon of the 9th, a showcase to commemorate the release of Kiss of Life's mini album '224' was held at Yes24 Live Hall located in Gwangjang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.
'224' is the first album that does not feature Lee Hae-in, who has served as the creative director since their debut album. When asked about preparing the album without Lee Hae-in, Kiss of Life responded, "As always, we increased the members' involvement. We communicated a lot and grew by sharing our expressions of intent."
Natti, who participated in writing the lyrics for the tracks 'Tell Me' and 'Painting', said in response to a question about inspiration, "Since it's a bright song, I drew a lot of inspiration from movies. I wrote the lyrics using elements that could come from animation or youthful love." Julie, who contributed to the lyrics of 'Heart of Gold', emphasized, "I strive to increase my involvement with each album. My inspiration comes from experiences and the stories of the members."
The title track 'Lips Hips Kiss' is an R&B hip-hop genre song reminiscent of the early 2000s, singing about the emotions of falling for each other. The members' voices add a feminine yet enchanting charm, leading listeners back to that era with its sophisticated sound.
Kiss of Life's mini album '224' will be released on various music streaming sites at 6 PM on the same day.
