The Nasaenghyeon Band has denied the allegations of sexual assault against vocalist Nasaenghyeon.
On the 2nd, the agency, ReNewer, stated, "We apologize to those who may have felt confusion and discomfort due to the revealing post about our artist Nasaenghyeon," and added, "The delay in our response was due to the lack of an internal system within the agency."
The agency explained, "The artist posted a statement based on moral responsibility immediately after the information was made public, even though the facts had not been sufficiently verified," and added, "This response stemmed from the artist's belief that it was necessary to convey an apology regarding the raised controversy rather than remaining silent."
They also denied the actions mentioned in the problematic post. The agency emphasized, "We deeply apologize for the confusion caused by the attempt to convey feelings without sufficient explanation, which led to misunderstandings about the facts."
Previously, rumors spread through online communities that Nasaenghyeon had engaged in inappropriate physical contact during a drinking session, to which Nasaenghyeon had expressed his apologies. However, the source of the post and whether the author is an actual victim remain unclear. The problematic post has since been deleted.
Meanwhile, Nasaenghyeon Band is a three-member indie band consisting of drummer Kang Hyun-woong, vocalist Nasaenghyeon, and bassist Baek Seung-ryeol. All members are graduates of Seoul National University and have gained recognition by participating in various festivals. Baek Seung-ryeol is currently appearing on the JTBC entertainment program 'Mungchyeoya Chanda 4.'
