The group XEED is returning to fans under the new name XD.
XD will release their first single ‘Wished’ on the 30th at 6 PM through the distributor Naturally Music, available on various music sites.
The return of these members, who have quietly honed their skills in their respective places over the past two years, carries more significance than just a simple comeback. The name of the five men who have reunited without giving up is now XD.
XD is a project where the existing members of XEED—Doha, Shun, Jaemin, Bao, and Yooho—have reorganized under a new team name to start anew.
Now in their 10th year since debut, they have faced numerous stages and the walls of reality, but they have come together with the mindset that “we are not finished yet.” The name that embodies that sincerity is X-DREAM (an unknown dream), abbreviated as XD.
During the long hiatus, the members have focused on individual activities to build their skills. They have quenched their thirst for the stage in various ways, including solo albums, Asian tours, and television appearances.
In particular, member Yooho (Kwon Yong-hyun) participated in the JTBC audition program ‘PROJECT7,’ leaving a deep impression with his explosive vocal ability and sincere stage manners.
The title track of this single, ‘Look at the Falling Star,’ captures the hearts of the members. It expresses gratitude and apologies to the fans who have waited a long time, as well as a commitment to start dreaming again. Notably, Yooho, Bao, and Doha participated in the lyrics, adding depth to the sincerity.
The included track ‘Wake Up’ has been selected as the OST for the drama ‘Ball Boy Tactics,’ hinting at an expansion of their activity areas.
During the hiatus, the teamwork has become even stronger.
The members established their own company, XDREAM, with the determination to be with fans for a long time, taking control of their activities. They are currently planning and executing all processes leading up to their return to the stage, protecting their dreams themselves.
The sincerity of these five, who still say “with the heart of a rookie,” is set to reach fans again through music.
