Singer Bobby Kim (52, real name Robert Do-kyun Kim) faced criticism towards the production team after a guerrilla concert at a university was canceled.

On the 15th, a video titled 'The Stage That Made the Production Team Cry While Editing' was posted on the YouTube channel 'Studio Hey'.

The production team suggested a guerrilla concert at Korea University to Bobby Kim, saying, "We want to check the sentiment in Seongbuk-gu and see how much influence you have on the MZ generation friends these days."

On that day, Bobby Kim aimed to gather 100 audience members through verbal promotion at Korea University for a duration of 2 hours. If the audience count did not meet the target, the concert would not take place.

After completing all rehearsals, Bobby Kim removed his blindfold at 8 PM, the concert start time, but there were only 4 audience members present. Bobby Kim remarked, "I expected it wouldn't be filled as I thought it would be just 4 people." Ultimately, the concert was canceled, and Bobby Kim left with disappointment.

An audience member who attended the guerrilla concert said, "Honestly, I didn't think it would just be us. I thought there would be about 15 people."

Bobby Kim helped clear the performance area by moving chairs with some students. The students explained that they couldn't attend the concert due to "a large event at the school" and "a fixed schedule due to a broadcasting schedule."

After the video was released, netizens poured criticism on the production team. They commented, "Is it reasonable to proceed with content without knowing the school festival schedule while getting filming permission at the school?", "The ending and content of the video are very displeasing", "It only mocks existing fans", "I hope Bobby Kim isn't upset," showing their disappointment.

In response, Bobby Kim commented on the video, saying, "There are many fans whose hearts were hurt. It's somehow touching to know there are fans who care," and added, "I'm completely fine. Isn't it boring if everything is successful from the start? I will start with the original intention and work hard to succeed, so just wait. I will gather 1,000, 10,000 people for a concert. We are working hard and having fun, so I hope you don't misunderstand. I hope you all enjoy it just like I do."

Bobby Kim made a comeback in April with his second mini-album 'Part of Me'. This comeback is about three years after the single 'I Got Drunk' released in 2022. He stated that he would communicate with the public not only through music activities but also through various content.
