Go Woo-rim, husband of figure skating star Kim Yuna and member of the crossover group Forestella, shared his thoughts on his military discharge.
On the 21st, Go Woo-rim opened up on his social media, saying, “I returned healthy without any injuries, thanks to the interest and encouragement from everyone who cares for me.”
He continued, “There were moments that were frustrating and difficult due to the lack of freedom, but I believe I had my own time of reflection and learning that could only be felt during that process. Thanks to that, I look forward to a more mature version of myself in the future.”
Go Woo-rim also mentioned the relationships he formed during his military service. He reflected, “Having been accustomed to being the younger brother for a long time, I was clumsy in dealing with younger ones, but I also got to experience being the eldest brother, nagging them, and feeling a different sense of responsibility... It was more fun than I expected.”
In conclusion, Go Woo-rim expressed his affection towards his team members, saying, “I sincerely thank the members who firmly supported the team. Finally, we are all veterans.”
Kim Yuna also showed her support for her husband’s return by liking the post.
Go Woo-rim gained recognition through the JTBC music competition program ‘Phantom Singer 2’ in 2017. Since then, he has formed a team with the current members he met on the show, providing diverse music.
Forestella will start recruiting for their official fan club ‘Forest Star’ 3rd generation through the fandom platform From on the 20th. Celebrating their 7th anniversary this year, Forestella plans to engage in more diverse music, performances, and broadcasting activities as a complete group, maintaining a close relationship with ‘Forest Star’.
Go Woo-rim first connected with Kim Yuna through a celebratory stage at the ‘All That Skate’ ice show in 2018, and they got married in October 2022. He enlisted in the army as an active duty soldier in November 2023, just a year after their marriage, serving in the Ministry of National Defense's vocal unit.
