(G)I-DLE (Miyeon, Minnie, Sooyeon, Yuqi, Shuhua) held a press conference to commemorate the release of their mini album 'We are' on the afternoon of the 19th at Chosun Palace Seoul Gangnam in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
On this day, when asked about the reason for her bold transformation into a short haircut, So Yeon said, "The process of deciding on the short haircut... I really just did it. I've always been like that. I've cut my hair short before and even dyed it blonde. I like to have hair that fits the album concept, so this time I decided to go for a short haircut."
She continued, "Of course, there was fear in that process. Before cutting it, I wondered, 'Will a short haircut suit me?' and after cutting it, I thought, 'It feels like I have too little hair.' But now, I really like it."
Meanwhile, 'We are' is the first album released after all members of (G)I-DLE signed a re-contract with their agency, CUBE Entertainment. Additionally, it draws attention as it is the new release following their name change from '(G)I-DLE' to '(G)I-DLE' on their 7th debut anniversary. It will be released at 6 PM on the same day.
