‘K-band scene's top rookie’ Dragon Pony has gained attention as the ‘K-Pop Rookie of the Month’ selected by the U.S. Billboard.

On the 15th (local time), the American music media Billboard published an article titled ‘Dragon Pony Is Billboard’s K-Pop Rookie of the Month for May’ on its official website, announcing that Dragon Pony (Ahn Tae-kyu, Pyeon Seong-hyeon, Kwon Se-hyeok, Go Kang-hoon) has been selected as the ‘K-Pop Rookie of the Month’ for May 2025.

Billboard introduced, “Dragon Pony is a four-member rock band from Korea that presents deep music based on fresh energy. All members actively participate in songwriting, composing, and producing, delivering sincere storytelling and writing a new definition of modern Korean rock.”

In particular, Billboard highlighted Dragon Pony's rapid growth, mentioning that they performed at major domestic music festivals such as the ‘Busan International Rock Festival’ right after their debut, held a nationwide club tour, and sold out their solo concert in Taipei.

In an interview with Billboard, Dragon Pony expressed, “We are truly honored and grateful to be selected as ‘K-Pop Rookie of the Month.’ We will work even harder to meet expectations and continue to grow to reach the Billboard charts.”

Additionally, Dragon Pony shared their future goals, stating, “We want to go on a world tour to meet more fans. We aspire to perform as headliners at major festivals like ‘Glastonbury’ or ‘Coachella,’ and we definitely want to participate in the ‘Super Bowl Halftime Show.’”

Meanwhile, Dragon Pony will hold their solo concert ‘Dragon Pony 1st Concert ‘Not Out’ in Taipei on the 23rd and 24th, meeting local fans. They will also participate in major domestic festivals such as ‘Beautiful Mint Life 2025’ on June 14 and ‘2025 Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival’ on August 1, solidifying their position as the ‘top rookie of the K-band scene.’
