Comedian Lee Kyung-sil announced that she has resolved the debt related to her apartment in Ichon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, which had gone to auction.

On the 16th, Lee Kyung-sil posted on social media, "To get straight to the point, it has been resolved well."

Earlier, on the 15th, news broke that Lee Kyung-sil's home had gone to auction. According to the real estate auction data company Gigi Auction, the auction for the apartment owned by Lee Kyung-sil was scheduled to take place on the 27th at the Seoul Western District Court. The starting bid was 2.55 billion won. Lee Kyung-sil purchased the apartment for 1.4 billion won in 2007 and has been living there since. The real estate industry speculated that Lee Kyung-sil's apartment went to auction because she was unable to repay the secured loan.

Lee Kyung-sil expressed, "I apologize to many who were surprised, curious, and worried without even asking me directly. I was also taken aback when the news broke while I was resolving the issue," adding, "My family didn't know either, and my children, siblings, and close friends were all shocked and depressed. When I shared the news of the resolution today, some were in tears."

Lee Kyung-sil mentioned, "Seeing various messages from friends, I felt they were more worried than I was," expressing her gratitude to those who cared.

She explained, "The story is that after taking a break from work for several years, I tried to find a stable income through investments. It was fine for a few years, but problems started arising about three years ago," adding, "My life has truly been devoid of dull moments."

Lee Kyung-sil said, "I was anxious about whether my children would find out and tried to resolve it before they did, but in the end, the whole nation found out, which was frankly embarrassing," and mentioned, "I would like to post a photo of the cancellation receipt, but I will hold back," reiterating that her debt has been resolved.
