The group Everglow is disbanding.

According to a report by Maeil Business Star Today on the 13th, Everglow (Yiren, Sihyeon, Mia, Onda, Aisha, and E:U) has decided to leave the team following the expiration of their contract with their agency, Yuehua Entertainment.

According to insiders, all members have confirmed that they are looking for new opportunities outside of group activities with different companies. The agency also determined that it would be difficult to continue contracts with the members and decided to part ways while supporting their future endeavors.

Everglow debuted as a six-member girl group on March 6, 2019. Since then, they have actively released two albums each in 2020 and 2021, in addition to their debut year.

However, after a year-long hiatus in 2022, they only released one single album in 2023 and 2024, without any significant activities.

In this context, Chinese member Yiren revealed through a fan communication platform last March, "I really love the stage, but I have no income. However, I don't want to quit this job." She expressed that she had not received any settlement from the agency, which drew sympathy from fans.

While there was no significant statement from the agency regarding this matter, the members ultimately followed the path to part ways, resulting in a 'regrettable farewell.'

The name 'Everglow' is a combination of 'EVER' (always) and 'GLOW' (to shine), meaning 'just as there are days when the sun shines and nights when it does not, we will make both light and shadow our own time.'
