The long-running series 'Solo Hell' returns with unprecedented dopamine. It's 'Season 4'.
PD Kim Jae-won expressed his gratitude at the production presentation of Netflix's entertainment show 'Solo Hell 4' held on the 8th at the Naroo Ballroom on the 2nd floor of Hotel Naroo Seoul, saying, "I am deeply moved that we have come to 'Season 4'. We were able to return thanks to the viewers."
PD Kim said, "There is a line in 'Squid Game' where someone says, 'I've played this game before!' and every season, I also think, 'I've been in Solo Hell!' but I always have deep concerns," adding, "As always, this season was not easy. The more difficult it is, the more thoroughly we thought and prepared. I believe there are three reasons why it has been loved for so long: Frisia, Dex, and Lee Kwan-hee. After this season, there will be four reasons," hinting at the birth of new stars.
Dex, who rose to stardom through 'Solo Hell', humbly began, "I am a parachute candidate and have been lucky enough to go from Season 3 to 4," and confidently stated, "What I felt during this season is that it is 'the most fun ever'. I think this season includes the highest dopamine overall."
He said, "It's a 'reasoned confidence'. Each season has various narratives, but there is a main narrative, and sometimes character traits inevitably fade. There are bound to be some who are less prominent, but this season, everyone shines brightly. That aspect is a very important point to watch."
'Solo Hell 4' is a dating reality show where singles can only leave a remote island, 'Hell Island', if they become a couple. In addition to Dex, Hong Jin-kyung, Lee Da-hee, and Kyuhyun will also serve as MCs.
Hong Jin-kyung also expressed her gratitude and honor in joining until Season 4, saying, "I have gained many fans overseas who recognize me. Once, a fan asked me, 'Aren't you the MC of Singles Inferno?' I didn't understand because they called it 'Solo Hell' instead of 'Hell', and I said no, but the fan insisted, 'You are right'." This brought laughter with her amusing episode.
She continued, "In Korea, I am often underestimated, but I have global popularity overseas. Everything is thanks to 'Solo Hell'."
Lee Da-hee remarked, "I was amazed at how they cast such people even until Season 3, and this season is also surprising," raising expectations.
She added, "Every time I see participants who bring new charm and topics, I think, 'This is definitely Solo Hell'. This season has many changes. We have become closer through Season 4. I hope we can go to Season 10," she wished. Hong Jin-kyung also added, "This season has many unexpected developments and characters. I enjoyed and was excited throughout."
PD Kim expressed confidence, saying, "We always put a lot of effort into casting the participants. This season will also showcase new faces and charms that exceed expectations."
