Singer Kwon Jin-ah revealed that she faced difficulties after gaining fame through 'K-Pop Star 3'.
On the afternoon of the 25th, Kwon Jin-ah held a media listening session to celebrate the release of her third studio album, 'The Dreamest', at a cafe in Yeonhui-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul.
Kwon Jin-ah, who gained recognition by reaching the semifinals of the SBS survival audition 'K-Pop Star 3' aired in 2013, reflected on her past, saying, "I struggled a lot when I was first exposed to the media. I started my social life without a clear understanding of 'who I am', and I often found myself contemplating the difference between how others perceive me and how I perceive myself. I spent a lot of time obsessively searching for that."
She continued, "I was so young during 'K-Pop Star 3' that I didn't even know what I was doing. Then, after joining Antenna, I learned a lot from my CEO and senior musicians. Through that experience, I pondered how I could have my own agency, which led me to establish a one-person label. Since there are more days ahead of me than the days I've walked so far, I hope to explore various genres with my team members in my albums."
Meanwhile, 'The Dreamest' is an album name that signifies the highest form of dreams, embodying the artist's determination to keep dreaming and achieve the best dreams without getting tired. In this album, Kwon Jin-ah explores the theme of 'dreams' from various perspectives. It will be released at 6 PM today.
