Three members (Aaran, Saena, Shio) who left the group Fifty Fifty are teaming up with producer An Seong-il for their re-debut.
According to a report by Maeil Business Star Today on the 26th, An Seong-il has signed a one-year producing contract with Massive VNC and is currently active. As a result, An Seong-il will take on the overall production of the debut album for the group 'Ablume'.
Ablume is a three-member girl group consisting of former Fifty Fifty members Aaran, Saena, and Shio. This marks the continuation of the relationship between the three and producer An Seong-il from their time in Fifty Fifty.
Aaran, Saena, and Shio announced a new beginning by signing a contract with Massive VNC in August of last year. Ablume is a neologism that utilizes the German word 'Blume', meaning flower. It signifies that just as a small seed grows into a beautiful flower, the members will find their own colors based on their individual charms and potentials, and combine their unique colors to create diverse music.
The news of Ablume's re-debut has drawn attention from the industry. This is due to the so-called 'Fifty Fifty tampering incident' that occurred in 2023, which brought them into the spotlight. Particularly, considering that they are currently involved in a legal dispute with their former agency, Attract, the possibility of re-debuting cannot be ruled out.
Additionally, An Seong-il, who was a producer at Attract, is also facing legal issues, including claims for damages against Attract. Nevertheless, An Seong-il and Ablume are not letting go of their musical ties and are settling into their new agency together, aiming for a re-debut.
The musicality of Aaran, Saena, and Shio is well-known for the global hit song 'Cupid' from their time in Fifty Fifty. It has been praised as a masterpiece that highlights their distinctive vocals and rapping.
Massive VNC announced last December that Ablume had begun filming a new music video and photoshoot in the United States, hinting at an album release in the first half of this year. The collaboration between Ablume and An Seong-il is expected to shake up the music industry once again.
