On the 16th, JYP's rookie boy group KickFlip appeared on SBS Power FM's 'Escape from Two O'Clock Cultwo Show' (hereafter 'Cultwo Show').
Regarding the group name 'KickFlip', the members explained that it is inspired by a skateboarding term referring to the technique of rotating a board 360 degrees, meaning "to flip the world and overcome difficulties, hardships, and adversities."
KickFlip, formed based on the SBS boy group audition 'LOUD', is a rookie group that debuted less than a month ago. Member Gye-hun expressed his debut feelings, saying, "There are many things we are trying for the first time. There are many awkward and fascinating parts." It caught attention that all seven members of KickFlip have an MBTI type of 'I', with the members identifying K-Joo as the one with the strongest 'I' tendency.
About their debut album's title track 'Mama Said (What Are You Going to Be?)', KickFlip introduced it as "a cheerful, refreshing, and energetic song that carries the message of not succumbing to adults' nagging and moving forward on our own path." In response to Kim Tae-kyun's playful question, "Doesn't mom only say the right things?", the members cleverly replied, "There are no parents who can win against their children," adding, "Since our parents are our role models, it means we want to surpass them."
Meanwhile, KickFlip reported that an unexpected situation occurred during their first stage on a music show, where Dong-hwa dislocated his shoulder. Dong-hwa explained, "I thought I had to get it back in quickly. It was my first live broadcast and first stage. But it didn't work. I held on and continued, and I became the ending fairy and managed to finish that too," surprising those around him.
The 'Escape from Two O'Clock Cultwo Show' can be listened to every day from 2 PM to 4 PM on SBS Power FM 107.7MHz, and it can also be enjoyed as a visible radio through the official YouTube channel 'Erao'.
