It's Rosé again. BLACKPINK's Rosé's 'Apartment' has reached 3rd place on the Billboard's main chart, the Hot 100, setting a new record for K-Pop female artists.
On the 28th (Korean time), Billboard announced the latest (as of February 1) Hot 100 chart through social media.
Rosé's 'Apartment,' released last October, recorded 3rd place on this chart. This is a two-step increase from last week, marking the highest record for K-Pop female artists to date.
The song 'Apartment' is inspired by the widely known 'Apartment Game' in Korea, featuring an addictive melody, lyrics, and a lively rhythm. Global pop star Bruno Mars participated in the track.
The song debuted at 8th place on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on November 2 last year, the highest record for K-Pop female artists, and has continued to rise in rankings, maintaining its position on the chart for an impressive 14 weeks. Even three months after its release, its popularity remains unchanged, setting a personal best record of 3rd place on the Hot 100 and breaking the K-Pop female artist record.
Meanwhile, Rosé ranked first in the January individual brand reputation of idols conducted by the Korean Corporate Reputation Research Institute on the same day.
This is a comprehensive result analyzing the brand reputation index of idols based on the participation index, media index, communication index, and community index of consumers, extracted from big data of 163,322,138 individual brand data of 1,730 idols from December 29 last year to January 29 this year. Following Rosé, Aespa's Karina ranked 2nd, and Astro's Cha Eun-woo ranked 3rd.
Furthermore, BLACKPINK, to which Rosé belongs, is expected to carry out full-group activities this year, so the 'Rosé Syndrome' is likely to continue.
