Singer and musical actor Lee Changsub showcased his talent as a master through ‘Universe League’.
On the night of the 24th, Lee Changsub appeared as the team Groove director in the final episode of the SBS global boy group audition program ‘Universe League’.
On this day, Lee Changsub stated, “Through ‘Universe League’, I had a time to return to my original intention while watching the kids with amazing talents,” and added, “I hope to fulfill my role as a director so that team Groove can debut wonderfully.”
In fact, Lee Changsub encouraged the final members to “give it one last shot on the final stage” as they aimed for the ultimate victory. He also demonstrated his professionalism by preparing the stage for team Groove’s ‘Universe (The Message That Will Reach When the Curtain Opens)’ and providing one-on-one vocal lessons to the members.
In particular, the scenes where Lee Changsub personally shared various tips, recorded pronunciations, treated the members to meat, and gave them gifts created a warm atmosphere.
After the performance of team Groove’s ‘Universe’, Lee Changsub expressed, “I’m really emotional. Our teams have worked so hard, and I truly enjoyed watching the stage. You did well.”
The second half of the stage unfolded with ‘Same You, Same Place’. Lee Changsub explained, “When we perform, we look at the fans, right? This song was made with the hope that we can all look at the same place,” and he evoked the sign language choreography of BTOB’s ‘Missing You’, advising, “I hope it brings you emotion.”
Lee Changsub, who actively served as the director of team Groove until the final live broadcast, shared through his agency Fantagio, “I think the program ‘Universe League’ has become a time for me to reflect on myself again,” and added, “I feel grateful for finding my original intention, and I will continue to develop as a singer. I have been very happy during this time.”
Lee Changsub will hold his 2025 solo concert ‘The Wayfarer’ ENCORE at the Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Olympic Park, Seoul, on February 7 at 8 PM, February 8 at 6 PM, and February 9 at 5 PM. Additionally, he will continue his ‘The Wayfarer’ tour in Taiwan on February 2 and in Manila on March 22, meeting with local fans.
