[Who is Izna]
Izna is a seven-member girl group born from the Mnet x The Black Label collaboration project ‘I-LAND 2: Final Countdown’ (hereafter ‘I-LAND 2’), which concluded in July. The group consists of Mai, Bang Ji-min, Yoon Ji-yoon, Coco, Yoo Sa-rang, Choi Jeong-eun, and Jeong Se-bi. Initially, the debut group was set to have 6 members, but at the end of the final broadcast, the main producer Taeyang added Jeong Se-bi, making it a seven-member group.
Under the overall production of Teddy from The Black Label, Izna is active under the CJ ENM label Wake One, aiming to be an iconic girl group that never existed before. The team name embodies the bold confidence and assurance that at any time, anywhere, and anything can soon be defined as ‘me’.

Izna's first mini-album ‘N/a’ signifies that girls with infinite possibilities challenge their limits and break through their fears to venture into a new world. It includes the title track ‘Izna (IZNA)’ as well as ‘Time Bomb (TIMEBOMB)’, ‘I Will Always Love You (IWALY)’, ‘Drip (DRIP)’, and ‘Fake It (FAKE IT)’, totaling 5 tracks.
Released on November 25, this album topped the iTunes album charts in Thailand and Slovenia immediately upon release. It also secured a spot in the top 10 charts in 12 countries, including Chile, Indonesia, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Greece, Portugal, Singapore, and Saudi Arabia, marking a fresh start.

Written, composed, and arranged by Teddy, ‘Izna’ is a hip-hop genre song characterized by its addictive chorus and minimal beat. The song expresses the bold charm of the seven girls over a minimal beat and catchy chorus, showcasing Izna's ambition to surprise the world.
They pre-released their debut stage at the ‘2024 MAMA Awards’, known as the ‘dream stage’ for idols. On November 22, before their official debut, they performed at the ‘MAMA Awards’ held at the Kyocera Dome Osaka in Japan. The members of Izna proved their solid skills with unique vocals and confident choreography.

Izna is a tall girl group with an average height of 170cm, known for their impressive dance lines. Although they have just debuted, their experience from various missions in ‘I-LAND 2’ showcases their non rookie-like capabilities.

In fact, there was much discussion surrounding the final broadcast of ‘I-LAND 2’ where Izna was formed. The ‘I-LAND 2’ team initially announced that the debut group would consist of 5 viewer picks and 1 producer pick, but suddenly called out an additional member, causing confusion.
However, seeing their performance after debut, I believe the seven-member configuration was indeed correct. With a solid vocal line of Yoon Ji-yoon and Choi Jeong-eun, Bang Ji-min and Jeong Se-bi emerging as 5th generation visuals, Coco showcasing outstanding dancing skills, and Yoo Sa-rang and Mai moving the hearts of K-pop fans and producers as growing characters, the synergy of the seven members with their unique charms makes Izna shine even brighter.
