Actor Lee Sang-yi showcased his healthy physique through a photoshoot.

‘Singles’ released a photoshoot and interview with Lee Sang-yi, who is currently playing the role of Kim Jong-hyun, a former fencing silver medalist and current sergeant in the Special Investigation Team of the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency, in the JTBC weekend drama ‘Good Boy’.

In the published July issue of ‘Singles’, Lee Sang-yi displayed his diverse sides, showing both the serious demeanor of an actor and the humorous side he presents in variety shows. In particular, he caught attention by revealing his solid abs.

In the following interview, Lee Sang-yi expressed his feelings about ‘Good Boy’, saying, “I filmed it with great care, and I was happy to complete the work with colleagues who share the same mindset, so I wanted to put my heart into it as much as I could.” He added, “I hope the viewers will love it until the end,” showing his affection for the project.

Regarding the character he played, ‘Kim Jong-hyun’, he described him as “a character that appears elegant on the outside but struggles fiercely like a swan.” He practiced for six months for the action based on fencing, stating, “I wanted to give a strong impression with the tools,” and mentioned that he incorporated the unique thrusting action of fencing using the three-section staff used by police, paying attention to even the smallest details.

Active in various fields such as dramas and variety shows, he is set to return to the theater stage after two years, playing the lead role of William Shakespeare in the play ‘Shakespeare in Love’, which starts on July 5.
