Chief Producer Yang Hyun-suk has drawn attention by revealing the upcoming comeback schedule for the group Treasure and an active plan for 2025.
On the 2nd, YG Entertainment posted 'TREASURE NEWS & 2025 YG PLAN | YG Announcement' on their official blog. To explain the accelerated activity blueprint for Treasure, which will unfold from the end of this year to next year, Chief Producer Yang Hyun-suk took the lead.
Treasure's new digital single, set to be released on December 5, is titled 'LAST NIGHT'. After previewing the song, Yang announced a detailed promotion plan that includes a mini album in February next year and a full album in July to August, promising, "Next year, I will strive to carry out many activities that we couldn't do this year."
It is expected that listeners will encounter a different charm from Treasure's music, which has previously overwhelmed audiences with intense charisma and explosive performances. Yang hinted, "Treasure is trying to present a different concept than before," adding, "We are preparing an album that can express their honest feelings and approach you more comfortably."
Significant changes within Treasure have also been announced. Starting January 1, 2025, members Jun-kyu and Asahi will take over the leadership from the previous leaders Choi Hyun-seok and Park Ji-hoon, leading the team. As a group of ten members, this change aims to create a richer group identity through various attempts and transformations. Announcing a new beginning, Treasure plans to reach as many global fans as possible through a special event in March and a world tour starting around October.
In addition, the aggressive activity roadmap for YG artists, including Baby Monster, WINNER, AKMU, and BLACKPINK's world tours, has been unveiled. Yang stated, "There are quite a few trainees waiting to debut at YG. I will provide a specific debut date later," raising expectations for the launch of the new group.
Meanwhile, YG Entertainment posted the 'TREASURE - 'LAST NIGHT' Credit Poster' on their official blog that day. The title 'LAST NIGHT' is inscribed in stylish typography against a starry night sky, and the deep gazes and dandy styling of the Treasure members amplify curiosity about the new song's concept.
As expected from Treasure, who has continuously achieved limitless musical growth, the names of the members who decorated the credits catch the eye. Asahi, Choi Hyun-seok, Yoshi, and Haruto participated in the lyrics, while producers like Kang Wook-jin, Diggy, and Jared Lee, who have produced numerous hits for YG, contributed their efforts, raising interest in what kind of results will be born.
