An Yujin, the leader of the group IVE, will once again take the stage as the MC for the 'Gayo Daejeon'.
According to her agency Starship Entertainment on the 27th, An Yujin will host the '2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon' to be held on December 25 at the Inspire Arena in Yeongjongdo, Incheon.
Since starting her role as the MC for the 'Gayo Daejeon' in March 2022, An Yujin has been at the center of a major K-pop festival that attracts global attention with her high-level hosting skills every year. In particular, during the '2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer' in July this year, she received great acclaim for her adeptness and witty remarks, perfectly leading the live broadcast, which has heightened expectations for her fourth time as the MC for the 'Gayo Daejeon'.
In addition to her activities with IVE as a leader, An Yujin has consistently proven her presence in various fields, including the Disney 100th anniversary film 'Wish' and the Kakao Webtoon OST for 'The Great', as well as in entertainment shows. She has showcased her innate variety skills since appearing on tvN's 'Bbang Bbang Earth Arcade' from 2022 and in JTBC's 'Crime Scene Returns' aired last February, solidifying her position in entertainment with her proactive attitude and unique 'clear-eyed maniac' character that resonates across generations.
As a result, An Yujin was nominated for the Variety Award and won the Popularity Award at the '60th Baeksang Arts Awards' held on May 7. She also received the 'U+ Why Not' trophy at the '3rd Blue Dragon Series Awards' held on July 19, awarded to artists or works that bring about changes in streaming services through unique ideas and challenges. In September, she was selected as 'Female Variety Idol' for the second consecutive year and achieved the honor of winning the Female Variety Idol category at the '2024 Brand of the Year Awards'.
The '2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon', where An Yujin will serve as the MC for the fourth consecutive time, will be held on December 25 at the Inspire Arena in Yeongjongdo, Incheon, and will be broadcasted through SBS.
Meanwhile, IVE, led by An Yujin, has attracted over 420,000 audiences through 37 performances in 28 cities across 19 countries in Asia, the Americas, Europe, and South America this year with their world tour, concluding successfully with a finale performance at Tokyo Dome in September. They also performed at global stages such as 'Lollapalooza Chicago' and 'Summer Sonic 2024' during the tour, and have already been announced in the first lineup for the world-renowned music festival 'Lollapalooza Paris' to be held at Longchamp Racecourse in Paris, France on July 20, 2025.
