Director Yamashita Nobuhiro revealed the reason for casting Bae Doona in 'Linda Linda Linda'.

On the afternoon of the 12th, a screening and press conference for the film 'Linda Linda Linda' was held at Megabox COEX in Seoul. Director Yamashita Nobuhiro, along with actors Bae Doona, Maeda Aki, Kashii Yuu, and Sekine Shiori, attended the event.

Director Yamashita Nobuhiro stated, "I fell for Bae Doona after watching the film 'The Dog of Flanders' directed by Bong Joon-ho."

He continued, "I made the offer, but I didn't expect her to accept. I was surprised when she agreed. Being 28 years old is intimidating. I boldly went for a direct challenge. I think it was a good decision to openly make the offer. I want to praise my 28-year-old self for that."

Additionally, Director Yamashita Nobuhiro mentioned, "It wasn't just because Bae Doona is a Korean actress that I wanted her to be in our project. I was attracted to her after watching the works she has been in."

He added, "Last year, I collaborated with Yang Ik-jun. The original work was composed only of Japanese characters, but I wanted to work with Yang Ik-jun, so I changed the setting to include Koreans. It took three years to change the screenplay settings. I was drawn to the individuality of the actors. This became a collaboration between Korea and Japan."

'Linda Linda Linda' depicts the clumsy yet sparkling youth of a high school girl band preparing for a festival to mark the end of their school life, along with a Korean exchange student named 'Song' who accidentally becomes the vocalist. It will be re-released in 4K remastering on the 17th.
