Director Yeon Sang-ho's new film 'Face' has been officially invited to the 50th Toronto International Film Festival, and all the main cast will be in attendance.
On the 13th, Plus M Entertainment announced this news. 'Face' has been invited to the 'Special Presentation' section of the 50th Toronto International Film Festival, which will be held from September 4 to 14, and has confirmed its world premiere and official screening schedule on the 9th and 10th local time.
To celebrate the world premiere of 'Face', which will be unveiled to global audiences for the first time, the film's main cast, including director Yeon Sang-ho, Park Jung-min, Kwon Hae-hyo, Shin Hyun-bin, Lim Sung-jae, and Han Ji-hyun, will attend the festival to create an exciting atmosphere.
'Face' tells the story of 'Lim Young-kyu', who has lost his sight but has become a master in the field of engraving, and his son 'Lim Dong-hwan', who unravels the mystery of his mother's death that has been buried for 40 years.
The Toronto International Film Festival is considered one of the four major film festivals in the world and is the largest film festival in North America. The 'Special Presentation' section, to which 'Face' has been invited, has consistently featured Korean films such as 'Decision to Leave', 'The Handmaiden', and 'The Age of Shadows', establishing a solid foundation for the international interest and presence of Korean cinema in the global film industry.
WOWPOINT, which provided and produced 'Face', has also had the honor of having both 'Face' and 'Project Y' officially invited to the 'Special Presentation' section at this 50th Toronto International Film Festival.
