Actors Jo Hyun and Choo Young Woo shared their thoughts on reuniting through their work.
On the afternoon of the 17th, an online production presentation for tvN's new Monday-Tuesday drama “The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl” (directed by Kim Yong Wan, written by Yang Ji Hoon, planned by CJ ENM, produced by Studio Dragon, Dexter Pictures, and Eo Content Group) was held. The event was attended by director Kim Yong Wan, as well as actors Jo Hyun, Choo Young Woo, Cha Gang Yoon, and Choo Ja Hyun.
Jo Hyun and Choo Young Woo, who previously worked together on KBS2's “School 2021,” reunited through “The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl.”
When asked about their reunion, Choo Young Woo said, “Jo Hyun has become more beautiful. It seems like I’m the only one who has aged. It’s been four years since we last met, and I feel that she has matured and developed a lot both in her acting and appearance.” He added, “During ‘School 2021,’ we didn’t have much interaction, but this time we’ve become closer, and as the story progresses, the romance and comedic elements have increased.”
Jo Hyun responded, “I was happy to meet Choo Young Woo in a project after a long time. Having worked together in our early twenties and now reuniting in our late twenties, I felt that he is a charming actor as I get to see a new side of him.”
She continued, “Since this is our second time working together, there’s a sense of stability and comfort. I felt a lot of gratitude. Since we’ve already worked together once, there was no need for ice-breaking time, which was nice.”
Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl” is a bold first love rescue romance about a boy destined to die and a MZ shaman girl trying to prevent it, set against the backdrop of youthful eighteen-year-olds.
“The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl” will premiere on the 23rd at 8:50 PM.
