Released on the 31st of last month in Hong Kong, 'The Reader's Point of View' has claimed the top spot at the box office on its opening day.
The box office revenue in the first week surpassed HKD 3.1 million (approximately 500 million KRW). This achievement surpasses 'The Grave' and is the highest figure for a Korean film released since 2021.
'The Reader's Point of View' was released in Taiwan on the 23rd of last month, breaking the opening scores of 'Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds' and 'The Grave'. It has maintained the second position in the overall box office in Taiwan for five days and recorded the number one box office for Korean films released in Taiwan in 2025.
Based on the novel of the same name, 'The Reader's Point of View' is a fantasy action film where the world of the novel becomes reality on the day the long-running novel concludes, and the sole reader, Kim Dok-ja, must survive in a destroyed world alongside the protagonist Yoo Jung-hyuk and his companions.
