Choi Yu-ri recalled the first time she did zombie makeup.
On the morning of the 30th at 11 AM, a production report for the movie ‘Zombie Daughter’ was held at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, with director Pil Gam-seong, Jo Jung-seok, Lee Jung-eun, Jo Yeo-jeong, Yoon Kyung-ho, and Choi Yu-ri in attendance.
On this day, director Pil Gam-seong spoke about Choi Yu-ri, who plays the role of the daughter Sua, who has turned into a zombie, saying, “She has to act as a zombie and also dance K-pop well. She prepared while balancing her studies, and it was nice to see her enjoying the process without complaining even once.”
He added, “Special makeup is a tough job. Some lenses can obstruct vision, but even in such situations, her approach to the staff with a pretty demeanor was impressive and mature.”
Recalling her first experience with zombie makeup, Choi Yu-ri said, “After about 2 hours of makeup, when I looked in the mirror, I was shocked to see someone who wasn’t me.” Jo Jung-seok praised her, saying, “Choi Yu-ri went through a lot. It’s not easy to spend 2 hours on makeup, and I was proud to see her overcome that pain.”
Meanwhile, ‘Zombie Daughter’, based on a webtoon of the same name, is a comic drama about a doting father who begins secret training to protect his daughter, who has become the last remaining zombie in the world. Director Pil Gam-seong, known for his captivating directing in works like ‘Hostage’ and ‘Lucky Day’, is at the helm, with Jo Jung-seok playing the role of the doting father Jung-hwan. It will be released on July 30.
