Twins and Taekwondo girls are a perfect match. This refers to actress Lee Jae-in.

The tvN drama ‘Unknown Seoul’, which premiered on the 24th, is a romantic coming-of-age drama about twin sisters who swap lives through a lie to find true love and life, despite being opposites in every way except their faces.

In the drama, Lee Jae-in plays the younger version of Park Bo-young, portraying the school days of Yu Mi-ji and Yu Mi-rae. Taking on the dual roles of the twins Mi-ji and Mi-rae, she delivers convincing performances tailored to each character's personality. She showcases the bold and carefree side of the bright and cheerful Mi-ji, while naturally expressing the diligent and pure Mi-rae, enhancing the immersion.

The subtle moments of first love with Ho-soo (played by Park Yoon-ho), who moves in next door, create anticipation for the upcoming story.

With her stable acting skills, Lee Jae-in seamlessly handled her child actor role and is set to continue her activities on screen.

In the film ‘Hi-Five’, which premieres on the 30th, she plays the role of Wan-seo, a Taekwondo girl who gains superhuman strength after receiving a heart transplant, taking center stage in the story. ‘Hi-Five’ is a comic action film about five individuals who accidentally gain different superpowers through organ transplants and their encounters with those who seek their abilities.

In this work, which was previewed at a screening, Lee Jae-in transforms into the lively girl Wan-seo, showcasing her presence as a chemistry fairy. She engages in delightful teamwork with Ji-sung (Ahn Jae-hong), Seon-nyeo (Ra Mi-ran), Yak-seon (Kim Hee-won), and Gi-dong (Yoo Ah-in), who also received organs from the same donor and gained superpowers, creating a charming dynamic. The warm father-daughter chemistry with Oh Jung-se, who plays her father, is also noteworthy.

She is also responsible for the main action scenes of the chaotic team ‘Hi-Five’. Having undergone 10 months of action training from pre-production to filming, she perfectly executes high-difficulty wire actions and Taekwondo moves, taking charge of everything from car chases to exhilarating kicking actions in the latter part of the film.

Whether as a twin or a Taekwondo girl, Lee Jae-in has shown her ability to embody characters as if they were her own. She has previously won the Best New Actress award in the film category at the 55th Baeksang Arts Awards for her role in the movie ‘Svaha’. Additionally, she is steadily building her filmography with films like ‘Battle of Bongodong’, ‘Call Limit’, and dramas like ‘Racket Boys’ and ‘It’s Night’.

From her role as a child actress in ‘Unknown Seoul’ to the heroine in ‘Hi-Five’, Lee Jae-in is carving her own path regardless of the size and amount of her roles, and anticipation is already building for what new faces she will show next.
